Hi there! Welcome to my first ever blog post. I have no idea what I'm doing with this blog stuff, but I'll get there, and hopefully, you will come along for the ride! LOL, creating a Web-site is not my area of expertise. But I think I'm figuring it out. Today I put about 100 or more photos on my brand new site. Whew! I'm exhausted!
About me. I live in Central Florida and have been married for 27 years. We have an awesome daughter and are lucky enough to also have a wonderful son-n-law. We have one pup, down from 5. Talk about a lot of loving, but also a lot of work. I miss the 4 that have gone before us still to this day.
I started making cakes when we were getting married. So I took a series of classes given at night at a local high school. They were taught by Judy Brown-Scott, who still makes her own cakes to this day in Jacksonville, Fl. That grew to family, then friends, then a full-on business.
I decided to go back to school for Design and for the past few years have been doing Kitchen & Bath Design, another passion of mine. I also taught basic to advanced cake techniques. Now I have an opportunity to do it again, very part-time as I still design Kitchens & Baths. So why not do both!
Enough about me! Soon, very soon, I will post classes. First I have to figure all this web-page stuff out and all the tax and insurance stuff too. So stay tuned. Ha!
My dream is to do both cake demos or hands-on classes on a variety of techniques. But mostly for us to network and have fun! I will also be offering Home Cake Parties, soon. They are not ready as yet/ They will be either a hands-on or demo only. Not sure what they will cost, so stay tuned.
